Change in Late Cancellation Fees

Hi All!

I just wanted to reach out to let you know that in the new financial year, Connecting Staff have updated our Cancellation policy to make it in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Limits 2023-24.

As it stands, the Connecting Staff Service Agreement reflects the following definition of a Short Notice Cancellation.

Short Notice Cancellation Fees 5.2. A cancellation is a short notice cancellation if the participant: a. Does not attend for a scheduled support within a reasonable time, or is not present at the agreed place and within a reasonable time when the provider is travelling to deliver the support; or b. Has given less than one (1) clear business days’ notice for a shift to be cancelled.

The updated definition of a Short Notice Cancellation is as follows:

Short Notice Cancellation Fees 5.2. A cancellation is a short notice cancellation if the participant: a. Does not attend for a scheduled support within a reasonable time, or is not present at the agreed place and within a reasonable time when the provider is travelling to deliver the support; or b. Has given less than seven (7) clear business days’ notice for a shift to be cancelled. Connecting Staff will adjust charges for cancellations and absences in line with the NDIS advice and guidelines. 5.3. A shift change may be considered a short notice cancellation in line with 5.2 where the rostered support worker is not able to fulfill the proposed change. 5.4. Should a cancellation occur in line with 5.2 and/or 5.3, Connecting Staff may use their discretion to apply our cancellation policy in exceptional circumstances surrounding the cancellation.

Should you have any questions regarding this change, please contact the Connecting Staff team on (03)54282251 or admin@connectingstaff.net
