Support Worker – Macedon Ranges (Gisborne)
Connecting Staff are currently recruiting energetic and motivated support workers to join our team located in the Mitchell Shire and Macedon Ranges. This is a rewarding opportunity for you to provide support to our participants and make a difference in their lives. Connecting Staff provides personalised programs, activities and solutions that support people to live their fullest life, their way. We work with children, young people, adults, families, who have social, physical, intellectual disabilities or mental illness. We are currently seeking in the regions of Macedon Ranges and Hume with shifts between 7am - 7pm Monday to Friday as well as weekend shifts.
The Role

You will work with purpose and be part of a supportive team culture.

You must be able to work independently, providing daily support to our customers.

You must have an ability to offer behavioural support and a knowledge of individual behaviour support plans.

The role would suit experienced, resilient workers with proven behaviour management skills.

Provide day to day care, supervision and transport to children and young people.

Actively participate in activities and increase the individual goals of our customers.

Mentor, develop, implement and monitor individual plans.

Daily maintenance of progress notes and report writing.

Support the involvement of family.

Provide quality support in an ethical and professional delivery of Connecting Staffs’ values.

Successful applicants
You must have an open driver's licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured and registered.
You must hold a current or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate, national criminal history check and a working with children’s check.
Applicants with previous experience in a high personal care role or experience with moderate or high challenging and complex behaviours would be highly regarded.
If you hold a certificate 4 in community services, disabilities services, youth work, please apply however, this is not essential, and training will be provided to those without qualifications. A background or qualification would be advantageous, but more important are the attributes that you possess. We want our participants to have a great experience with our team, and our staff need to have a great attitude, be friendly, professional, willing to learn new things, and most importantly listen and understand what the customer wants.
