Why do you love working for connecting staff?
I love working for Connecting Staff as it provides a whole range of opportunity and experience in the field of mental health and disability work with adolescence and young adults in the Macedon Ranges community and beyond. It’s with this vital experience that I’m able to not only better my own interpersonal communication skills with clients of Connecting Staff from all walks of life but also the staff of this organisation and people outside of the organisation that I communicate with in everyday life.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies have mostly centred around technology from an early age from tinkering with computers and phones to eventually building my own computer in my early teens. As I’ve gotten older though, I’ve embraced other hobbies such as vinyl record collecting, photography, gaming, volunteering for organisations that have a special place in my heart and long exploration walks.
What are you currently studying / wanting to study?
I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) at RMIT with the goal of completing an honours or graduate diploma in psychology after my bachelors degree as I work towards becoming a psychologist.
If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
If I could go anywhere, I’d probably go back to Tāpapakanga Regional Park in New Zealand where I went for a concert in Year 12 and was blown away by how green and beautiful of an environment it was. I’d also go to Europe, Dubai, Japan and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Do you have a pets?
I have two beautiful (and crazy) cocker spaniel dogs.
